Geometry, Trig and Calc - OH MY!

Mr. Kolbet is a higher level mathematics teacher at CRCSD.  He is a fantastic teacher of math who has embraced the opportunity to incorporate technology into his everyday teachings.  He has been driven and motivated to look into different possibilities to make learning mathematics: hands on, relevant, rigorous, with 21st century exposure.  Not only does he encourage students to take notes with their computers of daily problems and instructional methods, but he uses the SMART Interactive Whiteboard to demonstrate patterns, formulate problems, model conclusions and check for understanding.

One of my favorite pieces of software that he uses on a daily basis with his higher ed classes is the ____
scientific calculator on the Interactive Whiteboard. The name of the software calculator he uses is the TI -84 Smart View. His demonstrations and illustrations projected on the IWBoard allow for students to watch, listen, and do correct formulas and understand the logical reasoning behind the work.

I enjoy watching him work, especially since math does not come naturally to a person like me.  It is a true learning experience for all who enter his classroom.
