Welcome to our Destiny....

Clayton Ridge students will begin a new adventure of a whole new media center experience starting in the fall of 2011.  The District has purchased new library management software called Destiny by Follett Software Company.  This new piece of software will play a key role in creating an engaging learning and discovery environment for K-12 students. It is a web based platform that will encourage students and teachers throughout our District to use our libraries as a gateway to the information highway.

Destiny Library Management software not only manages administrative tasks of libraries, but it encourages teachers, librarians, and students to communicate and collaborate more closely to drive student achievement.  It supports a controlled environment where kids and teachers can talk about books, review their likes and dislikes, and recommend to other readers. Destiny fosters students and teachers needs to develop critical thinking, problem-solving, dsocial networking and information search skills.  We are excited about the opportunities that our libraries will now hold by upgrading our systems to the 21st century and beyond.
