Writer's Workshop Rap

Mrs. Thein's and Mrs. Backhaus's writer's workshop class has been working diligently throughout the year creating a Rap podcast on our District's Positive Behavior Supports expectations.  Every quarter MS students are paired in groups of two to create their own rendition of a music rap video to illustrate our District's behavioral expectations of being READY, RESPECTFUL, RESPONSIBLE and SAFE.  The final products students have created have been excellent.  They are truly using their tool for learning (the computer) to demonstrate to teachers what they know.  Teachers have been blown away at their work and their efforts.  Here is one sample of a sixth grader's and an eighth grader's work.  Pictures, music and lyrics have all been created by the two students: Blake and Ben.
