Student / Teacher Inservice @ CRHS

Facebook Etiqutte and Privacy with SIAC Students
On March 15, 2011 our regular traditional school day took on a non-traditional look.  Students and teachers took part in a technology inservice to learn about and use new technologies for the everyday classroom.  Together students and teachers signed up in advance to take part in two different sessions learning about technology applications and different web 2.0 tools. The schedule for the day was a 1:30pm dismissal schedule and the afternoon was devoted to learning and using technology.

The theme was exposure for students and teachers. The topics for the day included:  iMovie/iDVD, Glogster, Wolfram Alpha, Google Spreadsheets/Forms, Digital Portfolios with Google Sites, Google Earth, Diigo, Twitter, Dipity, Scratch, Animoto, Wall Wisher, Todays Meet, Prezi, iWeb, Facebook Etiquette coming from a student's point of view, and Virtual Reality/3D programming and creation.  Presenters for each session were Clayton Ridge teachers, Clayton Ridge HS SIAC Students, or Keystone AEA1 Technology Consultants.  The day was a great success and a lot of students and teachers had a great overall experience.  SIAC students, Keystone Consultant Deb Henkes, and Principal Einck worked very hard collaborating with me and were valuable organizers of this event.   Their communication, hard work and dedication made the day's technology sessions filled with interactive learning and brought many great experiences for all.
