As part of the 1:1 computer initiative our Board of Education members also jumped on board and received laptops for their work sessions. Meeting agendas, calendar work and correspondence with staff have taken place more conveniently through the use of technology. Our Board of Education has been extremely supportive and willing to listen and share ideas to make our Digital Learning Environment an ever growing entity of continuous growth and improvement.
In Thursday night's District Board Meeting, three SIAC student members: Jen, Nicole, and Erin, presented to Board Members how technology is being used in our High School. Students demonstrated Edmodo and Google Docs. In addition SIAC students assisted our Board Members in signing up for an Edmodo account to use as an additional collaborative tool for Board Meetings. It was a great learning experience for our Board and our students were very impressive in their presentation and technology skills.
