On January 20, I took a group of 4 Clayton Ridge Middle School Students to Keystone AEA. Clayton Ridge was invited to participate in a focus group discussion on the topic of electronic books and devices and Keystone's role in supporting and providing opportunities to use eBooks. It was a great session. Schools attending were: Clayton Ridge, W. Delaware, Valley Community, MFL Mar Mac, New Hampton, DBQ Hempsted, South Winn - MS, Starmont, and W. Dubuque (Drexler, Epworth Elem).
Discussion groups were divided into a teacher and student group. AEA media specialists and technology consultants facilitated the two groups and the discussion focused on several questions:
- What do you think is the AEAs role in providing eBooks to schools?
- Who would be some of the first users of eBooks in your school district?
- How would having eBooks available affect how many books you read?
- How would having ebooks available from the AEA affect your instruction?
- How many students in your building have smart phones? other eBook readers?

It was a great discussion and our MS students were great contributers to the conversation. We offered a lot of great ideas to using eBooks in school and what Keystone could do to help assist and support eBook implementation.
